Wow! We were good!!!
This concert was a very large feather in Pro Arte's cap!
Somewhere along the way....Pro Arte's wonderful repution of being an excellent pre-professional amateur chorus crashed.
I'm not sure what happened exactly, but the overall quality of the group really did start to go downhill. BUT....we have all worked very hard to change this AND we have!! Pro Arte is sounding better, our spirit is back and this concert put us back in the arena to be a competitive chorus for some of these important performances. You should all be very proud of this major accomplishment. Now we need to keep the momentum going, and to get the quality of our singing ...even higher! Again... congratulations! We have a lot to look forward to in the remainder of the upcoming season and in the future!

Concert Dress: Guys: black tux, black bow tie, black cummerbund, black shoes, black socks, coats buttoned. No cologne. Ladies: black blouses, shirt-style button up, black stockings and closed shoes (front and back). Blouses must be tucked in. Stud earrings or pearl earrings onl. No other jewelry (except watches.) No perfume or strongly scented sprays. Some options.... Penney's Black Blouse #1

FLOOR LENGTH skirts only. I'm very serious about this. Choir members out of dress code will not be permitted to sing. (And believe me...I'll feel really badly about this...)
Also looking ahead, we are planning to have a pre-concert lecture in May before the Puccini concert. If you can help me think of/brainstorm for an appropriate lecturer on the topic of Puccini (college professor??), please let me know. If you could give me a specific name and their phone number, that would be an even greater help!!
